BF Specialty Chemicals was founded in 1991 by Barry Fitzgerald after spending 21 years with GE Plastics & Silicones in the USA and Australia.
The company was initially established to offer additives to the plastics and rubber industries: antioxidants, stabilisers, and other additives from major overseas producers. Since 1991 the business has grown with the addition of organic peroxides, organosilanes, silicone rubber, hydrotalcites, chlorinated paraffins, GMS, MMA, and many other chemicals and additives.
The company maintains a strong focus on specialty chemicals, especially dangerous goods. We partner with specialist warehouses and transport companies to ensure material is stored and transported according to state and federal regulations.
The Sydney office is managed by Barry Fitzgerald and Sue Stewart. The Melbourne office is managed by Michael Fitzgerald, Barry's son.
